Dr Katya Burova: Dermatology Consultant: Skin specialist for children & adults

Dr Ekaterina P. Burova is a highly skilled and experienced Dermatologist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, providing patients with comprehensive skin care services at her private practice in London. Dr Burova is also a Clinical Lead in Dermatology at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust, where she manages a multi-disciplinary skin cancer team.

Dr Burova completed her medical degree at the First Moscow Medical School, I.M. Sechenov, where she received the Russian equivalent of the MBBS qualification. Her postgraduate training included Diplomas in Paediatric Dermatology and Homeopathy from the Central Postgraduate Medical School in Moscow, as well as a Certificate of Higher Specialist training in Dermatology and Venereology from the First Moscow Medical School. Dr Burova also completed a Ph.D. from the Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Russian Academy of Medical Science.

In addition to her training and practice experience, Dr Burova was also a visiting lecturer and professor at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. She is an invited speaker at national and international dermatology meetings. Dr Burova’s work has been published numerous times, including two book chapters. She is on the editorial boards of MIMs Dermatology and the Russian Journal of Skin and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, respected publications in the field of dermatology.

She is the first Russian doctor to be certified as a Consultant Dermatologist in the UK, as well as the only Russian speaking dermatologist in London and surrounding areas. Dr Burova is able to offer patients exceptional care, her special interests being skin cancer, skin surgery, paediatric dermatology, allergies and more.
